Minetta Tavern
Last week, we dined at the updated, and now part of the McNally team of restaurants, "Minetta Tavern" in the West Village. Walking down MacDougal St. on a rainy evening, we were surprised to find this amazing restaurant next to "Cafe Wha" and other tattoo parlors. Upon entering, we saw the comfy, red booths and long bar enticing us inside. It felt like we had been transported to an old, French bistro where Sophia Lauren may have dined in her glory days. The walls are adorned with caricatures and photographs of past famous actors, writers and other creative types.
Besides the restaurant aesthetic, the food was amazing. The chicken entree entitled "Poulet Fermier Roti" was our favorite, along with the roasted bone marrow appetizer and "Black Label Burger". The cocktails are delightful as well.
We had drinks at the bar next to Malcolm Gladwell and sat next to VA$TIE and YOUNG SCOOZLE. Was a fun evening and we highly recommend you dine there.
