Nowhere Boy

The film Nowhere Boy, directed by Sam Taylor-Wood, focuses on the childhood of John Lennon. The film takes place in Lennon's birthplace Liverpool, as shown on the set above. Aaron Johnson, a British actor, plays the young Lennon. The movie shows his life before the Beatles, including where Lennon met Paul McCartney and  started the band "Quarrymen".

Nowhere Boy was adapted from the book by Lennon’s half-sister entitled "Imagine This: Growing Up With My Brother John Lennon". Lennon is shown being raised by his mother Julia and his Aunt Mimi, played by Kristen Scott-Thomas.

Goldfrapp is going to help with the film's music. The film will be released in the U.K. on December 25th, but no U.S. release date is set yet.
