Remembering the Great Robert ...

Robert McNamara passed away today, but his legend will live on forever. He was a brilliant, yet controversial figure in US history who accomplished so much in his time. Not only was he a master of business, he was the eighth United States Secretary of Defense. He helped advice JFK, Lyndon B. Johnson and worked throughout the Vietnam War. He played a heavy hand in supporting the anti-communist movements in and outside of the US. In 1995 he released his memoir, In Retrospect. The novel discussed his role in the Vietnam War, explaining why he increased the troops among other controversial decisions he made. In 2003, Errol Morris made a documentary entitled "The Fog of War: Eleven Lessons from the Life of Robert. S. McNamara". This documentary was a series of very personal interviews with Robert McNamara mixed with archival footage.
